Reducing family violence

Auckland Regional Public Health Service’s Reducing Family Violence programme is a long term programme that aims to change the social attitudes, beliefs, policies and systems that sustain family violence.

The programme adopts an intersectoral primary prevention approach to prevent and reduce violence within interpersonal relationships, families and communities. The programme has two key focus areas – region wide and community attitude change programmes, working with Māori, Pacific Island and refugee communities.

If you require help or further information please contact:  Safer Homes in New Zealand Everyday (shine*) who will put you in touch with local family violence agencies including Maori and Pacific Island services.
